Airport City Welcomes a New Leader
As of January 2025, Veiko Keerberg has taken the helm of Airport City AS, a subsidiary of Tallinn Airport. Keerberg has been part of the company’s team since its inception.
Previously, Veiko Keerberg served as the Head of Commercial Property Development and Sales at both Tallinn Airport and Airport City. His experience and strong collaboration with Airport City’s partners provide a solid foundation for implementing the company’s long-term strategies and tactical plans. The previous board member, Teet Raudsep, has moved on to the IT sector.
“We are very grateful to Teet Raudsep for his contributions. Under his leadership, key developments of Airport City were launched, the team was assembled, and new processes were introduced to create a strong foundation for future growth,” said Riivo Tuvike, Chairman of the Management Board of AS Tallinn Airport. “We are also very pleased that the company has nurtured its next leader from within. Veiko has been a valuable member of the Airport City team, having been part of its inception and growth. His contribution to past developments has been remarkable. We are therefore optimistic and confident that, under his leadership, Airport City will continue to thrive and successfully follow its chosen path.”
“This year, our main focus is on three developments in the southern area of Airport City, with a total building area exceeding 22,000 square metres,” said Veiko Keerberg, Chairman of the Management Board of Airport City. “In the autumn, the modern air cargo terminals of FedEx Express Estonia AS and DHL Express Estonia AS, complete with office spaces, will be inaugurated. At the beginning of the year, the cornerstone will be laid for an aircraft hangar complex, scheduled for completion in the last quarter of 2025. The primary tenant of the hangar complex will be Magnetic MRO AS. Simultaneously, preparations and negotiations are underway with potential partners for further developments in the southern and eastern areas. In the coming years, several existing buildings in the northern area are set to be renovated, and we are also working on detailed planning across all zones to secure future building rights for developments with various functions,” Keerberg explained regarding the company’s future plans.
Airport City’s ambition is to become the most dynamic business district in Northern Europe, integrating the commercial spaces offered by the airport and fostering synergies between aviation and business. The district aims to support the development of Tallinn Airport while providing an attractive environment for businesses seeking proximity to one of Estonia’s key transport hubs.
Airport City’s real estate portfolio includes over 20 development projects spanning 130 hectares around Tallinn Airport. Additionally, the company manages properties near the airports of Pärnu, Kuressaare, Tartu, Kärdla, Ruhnu, and Kihnu. The goal of these new developments is to create high-quality, energy-efficient commercial spaces that contribute to the region’s economic growth.
